What are the proposed changes to the bylaw?

Changes that are proposed to the current Parking Provisions in the district include:
- Orlando Street
- Create one (1x) accessibility park (ORL02) outside New World Supermarket.
- Capture the yellow no parking lines between Regan and Fenton Street.

SH3 Broadway North
- Revoke the four (4x) all day parks in front of Mountain Motors (formerly named BRO59).
- Create four (4x) P60 time limited parks in their place (named BRO56)
- Revoke the seven (7x) angle parking bays on the western side of Broadway in front of Field Torque (formerly named BRO51).

Fenton Street- Officers recognise the issues raised by the Scout Den in the past as part of the LTP submissions and propose to amend the current parking arrangement on Fenton Street. While discussion is ongoing with the Scout Den, the following changes are proposed to the bylaw:
- Revoke eight (8x) all day on-street angled parking bays on the south side of Fenton Street at the intersection with Portia Street adjacent to the Malone Gates (FEN29).
- Replace with eight (8x) P60 “At all times” on-street angled parking bays on the south side of Fenton Street, at the intersection with Portia Street adjacent to the Malone Gates (FEN29).
- Orlando Street

Proposed key changes made to the Bylaw include:
- A new Clause 9(l) relating to the amendments/changes to any parking restriction by Council Resolution;
- A new Clause 19, relating to the number of days permissible for parking motorhomes;
- A new Clause 20, relating to the number of days permissible for parking vehicles for sale;
- A new Clause 21 relating to work on vehicles;
- Changes to Clause 22, relating to temporary discontinuance of a parking place;
- A new Clause 23, relating to roads restricted to specific classes of vehicles;
- Changes to Clause 25 relating to Penalties and fees; and
- A new Clause 28 relating to revocation and savings.

Changes that have been made to the current Parking Provisions in the district, but require formal approval as part of this bylaw include:
- Romeo Street:
- Revoke the four (4x) westernmost all-day parks on Romeo St in front of Avon Medical Centre (part of ROM03)
- Create three (3x) P60 time limited parks in their place (named ROM04) and one (1x) Accessibility Park at the westernmost end (named ROM05)
- Swansea Road - Capture the new bus stops, parking spaces and no parking zones created during the recent Stratford High School Safety Project.
- Portia Street - Capture changes to parking driven by the newly constructed entrances to the Wai o Rua Aquatic Centre.
- Miranda St
- Revoke the northernmost all day parking space of block MIR90.
- Create one (1x) new accessibility park in its place (MIR89)
- SH3 Broadway - CBD
- Revoke the eight (8x) southernmost angled P90 parking bays on the eastern side of Broadway within the block named BRO16;
- Create two (2x) accessibility angled parking bays at the southern end of the block named BRO17;
- Revoke three (3x) southernmost P90 angled parking bays on the western side of Broadway within the block named BRO67;
- Revoke the southernmost parallel P5 parking bay in the block named BRO66;
- Create two (2x) accessibility angled parking bays in front of TSB Bank named BRO66A;
- Revoke two (2x) P5 angled parking bays on the western side of Broadway in the block named BRO68;
- Create one (1x) accessibility parking bay on the western side of Broadway at the southernmost end of the block named BRO68. This parking bay may be renamed as part of BRO70 to incorporate the existing accessibility parking.
